Become An Apprentice & Travel The World

 June 7, 2019

For years there has been a huge stigma around apprenticeships, phrases have been thrown around such as ‘apprenticeships are only available in manual industries’, ‘apprenticeships are for people who don’t do well in school’ and ‘all apprentices do is make brews’. Wrong! Our apprentices win awards, travel the world on business trips and are taught by marketing industry professionals.

There is still some uncertainty about the benefits of apprenticeships so here are a few: you receive a qualification, there is no student debt and you receive experience; kick-starting your career!

The Juice Academy is the UK’s first industry-led digital apprenticeship. The brainchild of Tangerine communications which, after 17 years in the creative industry and has run a number of job creation and training programmes, knows a thing about training and nurturing talent.

Whether you are a school leaver or university graduate, we accept all ages and capabilities onto the programme. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about digital media, ambitious and determined to succeed.

The aim of The Juice Academy is to provide North West businesses with budding talent and give young people the chance to work with some of the UK’s biggest brands as well as filling the digital skills gap in Manchester. So far, The Juice Academy has created over 300 jobs!

The Juice Academy is a unique training provider because we solely offer apprenticeships in digital marketing and social media. Digital marketing is the marketing of products or services using digital technologies. The role of a digital marketing apprentice includes implementing and supporting digital strategies including PPC, SEO and email marketing.

Developing engaging content including videos, graphics and logos. Keeping up to date with the latest trends and implementing these. There is currently a huge digital skills gap in Manchester so a career in digital marketing is very promising.

Being a digital marketer is not just a 9-5 job, social media and trends are always changing so you always need to be on top of them. In this industry, there are so many different exciting tech events, conferences and networking. You are constantly meeting new, inspirational people. If you love social media, blogging, graphic design, photography or videography then a career in digital marketing could be for you!

The application for The Juice Academy is like no other. The online application form is based around social media and digital marketing. We don’t believe in the standard interview process. If your application is successful, you will be invited to one of our recruitment ‘Boot Camps’ . We hold recruitment days every January, April, July and October and at each Boot Camp we take on 20 new digital marketing apprentices.

There are different employers at each Boot Camp. Some of our previous employers include PrettyLittleThing, Manchester Airport, Greater Manchester Police, Vimto and Tangerine … just to name a few! At the end of the Boot Camp, each employer chooses their new digital marketing apprentice. The programme is 15 months long and apprentices receive a Level 3 qualification in Junior Content Production. You will also be in a Cohort of 20 apprentices and you are all starting the same journey so you will definitely be making friends along the way. Sounds great, right?

The Juice Academy has also recently partnered with Hootsuite. Hootsuite is a leading social media management platform, supporting social network integration for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google + and YouTube. Juice Academy apprentices will receive a free Hootsuite license for the duration of their apprenticeship as well as training on how to use the platform from Hootsuite’s leading professionals.
